2 Timothy 3:1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; from such turn away.

Does that sound like this generation? We are, as most believe, living in the last days prior to the return of Christ. I believe that many that are alive today will see this take place. He will return; we have His word on it. The Bible is clear on what will be taking place on earth, prior to His return.  Perilous times will be taking place.
Perilous - Situations hard to deal with.
God never promised us an easy road to travel. He just said He would be with us, always.

The Pastors & Church Leaders, are faced with problems that have no easy answers. The tendency is to soft pedal the Gospel and not give straightforward Bible answers to questions. There are problems, marriage, sexual, drinking, teenage, adult, money, lying, cheating, etc. Most of these problems boil down to sin in the camp.

Some ministers don't want to offend people so they give answers according to some book they have studied, not the Bible. "We are not to blame; it's just the way God made us." A lot of physiology is being taught. God never made anyone a sinner; we did that to ourselves. The gospel is the power of God. We must get back to saying what God says about a thing. The truth will deliver and set free. Listen to what the Bible says about sin.

1 Pet 4:18  And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Part of what's happening is, people are lovers of their own selves. Many in this generation will do whatever it takes to "feel good". Break all the commandments of God to this end. We are living in a generation that says, "if it feels good, do it." They are, most of the time, referring to their flesh and are lovers of pleasures not lovers of God.

These don't want to hear a message that says deny your self, live right. Self has become the center of all they do. Some in the church only serve God to get blessed. Many of them will hear a message, get under conviction and call it condemnation. They will hunt a church that won't teach against sin. Serving God only to get their needs met, they love themselves not God. They don't love God and desire to please Him above all else. Jesus said "if you love Me keep my commandments."

Many have a form of godliness but they deny the power of God that will change their life. May I tell you there is no amount of living "right" that will please God apart from Jesus Christ.

The world despises those that want to do God's will, live holy, Godly lives in obedience. I've had some tell me "you are too heavenly minded to be any earthly good." Well there is another side of that coin, some are "too earthly minded to be any heavenly good." Many will go to great length to convince us they are right and you are wrong. Many of these have found a liberty to keep sinning. Some will say the Bible is outdated and no longer for us in this generation.  Some even say the Bible is full of contradictions. Many of these have a form of Godliness, they belong to a church, but their lifestyle denies the power of the Gospel. Most of these have not met the author of the book. The Holy Ghost is the author of the Bible.

There are many so-called gospels in this generation but only "The Gospel of Jesus Christ" is the power of God unto salvation. Talking about God, in most circles, will not get you into much trouble. Talking about Jesus Christ is a "no no" in many places. We are told to be tolerant of other live styles, other beliefs and other forms of God. Jesus said if you are ashamed of me; I will be ashamed of you.  There is only one way to the creator of everything and that is by Jesus Christ and Him alone. We must love souls enough to tell the truth. We are not trying to win friends but reach lost souls. Jesus gave His life for this cause and we are to be His witness to this generation. The Lord did not call us to just warm a pew!

Psalms 110:1 "The Lord said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

That is what the end time battles, wars are all about. This is what our trials and testing are all about. The enemies of the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be brought down hard. When it's over "Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father." (Phil.2: 11)

Make no mistake about it God The Father will give all the kingdoms of this world to His son Jesus and He will rule them forever. (Rev. 11:15) Of His kingdom there will be no end! It's not a God somewhere, by some name; it's Christ in you the hope of glory. There is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. No one comes to God the Father except by Jesus Christ. Are you ready and can you say "Come quickly Lord Jesus?"
