God has always been grieved when His own do not trust Him. To show our trust we must obey. The Bible is not written to those who do not believe. It is written for those who do.

Man, since the Garden of Eden, has had the idea that if he could just get enough knowledge he would be O.K. Time has proved man wrong. The more man learns; with out fellowship with God, the farther from God most become. Adam and Eve choose knowledge over fellowship with God. Knowledge without fellowship only puffs us up. Knowledge gained from fellowship with the Master will change our life forever!

Israel believed God would deliver them. They cried out to God and he did! A Lamb was slain and its blood applied to the gatepost. They were delivered from bondage, God did it. Soon they were up against the Red Sea. Egypt behind them was seeking their life. Egypt here is a type of the place we came from. The enemy of our soul wants us back. He wants us to look back and see how hard it is to go forward. God wants us to go forward. Who will we listen to?

Let's choose forward and God will make for us a way where there seems to be no way, just as He did for Israel! He parted the sea and they passed over on dry land. The enemy trying to do the same thing drowned! The world can not walk as a Christian. They need our witness to God's power.

Israel rejoiced, sang songs and danced for joy. ( A woman led them in worship). A few days passed and they were thirsty. They thought they were not going to make it. Ever felt that way? I have. How did God meet their need? He gave them water out of The Rock. That Rock was Christ! In Jesus Christ is all we need. Let's drink from this Rock and never thirst again. Don't get dry, drink and keep on drinking till it flows from your inter most being like rivers! Water to satisfy your own thirst and water left over to give other thirsty folk.

Israel rejoiced and was soon complaining again. God fed them manna every day. They soon got tired of eating the same food over and over again. God gave them meat and they got tired of it. They got what they asked for and this did not satisfy them. They murmured and complained. God was proving them to see if they would be obedient or not. Can we see that the bad times are just God testing us to see if we will be obedient or not? When will we learn to trust God?

Many in the church of today don't want to listen to the same old message over and over again. They do not want to hear repent. They want to be blessed not realizing that all blessings follow true repentance. Many don't want to hear; cleanse yourself from all filthiness of your flesh and live holy Godly lives in Jesus Christ. These don't want to hear; follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see God. Before we can walk in all God's promises this must take place in our lives. God has a way of giving us what we need. Let us receive it with thanksgiving and be established by the truth. Most children don't want what is good for them! Let us grow up and learn to trust God. All His word is for our benefit. God is proving us to see if we will walk in His way or not. Jesus Said "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of Me." He will not put it on us we are to take it ourselves.

When Moses went upon the mountain to talk with God, he left the people behind. When we desire to know God, to fellowship with Him, we will leave most of the people behind. The people who stayed behind made a golden calf to worship. Something to feel and see. We are to walk by faith, not by feelings or sight. They began to do what they had seen in Egypt, the world. If we do not get into fellowship with God we too will return to what we were before. God brought them out of the world but they never got the world out of themselves. We do not need to point our fingers at them but we do need to learn from their errors or we will do the same!

Many in the church of today have had the blood of Jesus applied to their hearts but they are still trying to be like the world. It will not work! Those that truly believe God need to study His word find out what God desires and with His help become doers of that. If we don't in trials we will be always telling God what we want and never stopping to find out what God desires of us.

Every trial, every storm of life can be a stepping stone for a closer walk with God or it can lead us away from God. It is our decision to make let us choose God's way and live.

Some may say cutting, hurtful things about me as a Christian. Most of these are not true. They said a lot worst things about me as a sinner and most of them were true! Thank God for the honor of serving The Master!
