2 Chronicles 7:14-15 (KJV) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place.

God was speaking to Solomon who had built a temple for God to dwell in. The sacrifices had been made and prayer had been made to God. God had accepted what they had done. Now He was telling them what to do when they began to sin and His blessing was removed from them.

When will we in America and those around the world learn that the blessing of God is not on a nation because of whom is in a political office? We, here in America have just been through an election in which it was demonstrated how divided we are as a nation. Some seem to think that if we just get the right people elected to office that will change things. Others seem to think that if we will just pass the right laws that will change things.

You know get abortion laws right, get proper gun laws passed, get tax laws passed, get civil laws passed that will help stop discrimination. I could go on and on but I believe you get the picture. I agree some of these things should take place. We do need changes in many areas of our government. I don't know about other countries but I venture to say it is much the same all over the world.

When will we learn that it is not laws that will change things? God added the law not to make things better but rather because of the transgressions of the people. It never produced a right standing with God. The law was a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. The law showed us that we in our own ability could do nothing that even remotely measured up to God's standard of holiness.

I submit, based on the above scripture as well as many others, the problem is not on God's end. The problem is on our end. If my people... notice He did not say the world... The Church, the people, which are called by My Name, is the problem. There is sin in the camp! Where there is sin only one thing should take place. Repentance is in order.

How do we do this? Glad you asked! First we must humble ourselves. Second we are to pray. Third as we pray we are to seek the face of the Lord. As we do this and come into the very presence of God we see sin has no place in God's Temple (we are His temple now) and we ask for forgiveness and mercy. When we see the Lord we will be as Isaiah and say, "woe is me for I am a man of unclean lips in the midst of a people of unclean lips."

Only one thing will take care of this, fire from off the altar before God. Brothers and Sisters that is the fire of the Holy Ghost! This fire will completely cleanse His floor. Let us get the Holy Ghost stirred up within us.

Do you want to have a revival in your personal life? Do you want to have a revival in your church, in the nation you live in, in the world? This is the way for it to happen.

Here is a partial list of some of the things, our nation as a whole, is guilty of.  We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism. We have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have neglected the needy and call it self-preservation. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it a choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it self-esteem. We have abused power and called it political savvy. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the airwaves with profanity and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

In most of the churches of today we have tried to do things our way and asked God to bless that. We have tried the world's way to success we have tried every thing but seeking the very face of God. When you get face to face with God you can see His pain about the condition of His church. You can see his disgust with lukewarm saints. You can feel His love for the lost, the bruised and the suffering. Face to face with Him He can breathe His life into you and you will have a strength you never knew existed before. It will change you life!

We have turned "sweet hour of prayer", into "Just a little talk with Jesus". Jesus prayed all night sometimes. He fasted 40 days and nights. He wanted to please The Father in all things, do we? When God's people repent, turn from their ways to God's ways.  Seek His face then will He hear our prayers and heal all that is wrong. This is what will bring revival to an individual, a church, and a nation. We will find God, when we seek Him with our whole heart.
