I realize there are many true witnesses unto Jesus Christ. This article is not about them.

Let me insert here, some of the best friends and acquaintances I've had the pleasure to be associated with were Jews or Muslims. Wonderful people, ones I could always trust. My life is better because I have known them.

Many times, since becoming a Christian, I have been approached by some that were trying to witness to me. When I have time to talk, I always tell them, “I will listen to all you have to say and when you are finished listen to me.” Some will agree; some will not.

Those who agree, when it's my time to talk, I ask them, “Who is Jesus to you?” To most of these He was a good man. Some say He was a prophet. Most all will agree that He lived and some will say they believe on Him. The catch is these all have someone else who is equal to or better than Jesus. Some say they believe in Jesus but will not call Him Christ or Lord.

These are a witness to their denomination or to some man they believe is equal to or more to be listened to than Jesus. They Believe they have found another way to get to heaven.

Today, in America, (I don't know about the rest of the world), there's a move on for all religions to unite. This would include Judaism, Islam and Christianity, etc. According to many, they say, "We all have the same God." There was a full-page article on this in The Atlanta, GA Newspaper this last Sunday (Nov. 18, 2001.)

The early disciples would turn over in their graves, if that were possible, to hear this! They gave their lives to preach the message that Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father. There is no other name under heaven whereby men must be saved. (Acts 4:12) He is the only way to be saved from the wrath of God.

Jesus Christ is the only offering for sin: and we have all sinned. Good works and deeds won't please God, if you do not believe in Jesus Christ. Any works or deeds that are not based on the finished work of Jesus Christ are self-righteousness and can not please God. Those who don't believe in Jesus Christ will die in their sins and be forever separated from God.

God created hell for the devil and his angels. (Matt. 25:41.) He made a way through His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, so man who believes in Him could be forgiven and cleansed from all sin. Whosoever will can receive atonement for sin; through the blood of God's Lamb, Jesus Christ.

The Jesus of the Bible is more than a Man, more than a Prophet, more than a Lamb. He is God, Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the Almighty. (Rev. 1:8) He is my Savior, my Lord and soon returning King. In Him I live and move and have my very being. He is The Vine and I a branch. His life flows through me. In Him I am complete!

If you will notice, in most circles, it's OK to talk about God. Most all religions will talk right along with you. When you say, "Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved," is when you will be ridiculed. You will be called narrow minded and short sighted. You will be told you are not tolerant enough. You are not politically correct! So be it, if we suffer with Him we shall also reign with Him!

Some Christians of this generation don't want to create a stir, a controversy. They won't bring up anything that is controversial for fear of hurting someone's feelings! Jesus was not like this! He stirred up people everywhere He went. He took a whip and drove some out of His Father's house. His followers did the same. The Gospel preached and taught as it is will cause some to repent or be angry enough to hurt you! Look at Stephen in the book of Acts.

A Christian must be a witness unto Jesus Christ or they are not a true believer themselves. We must love all people enough to tell them the whole truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6) Jesus said if we are ashamed of Him, He will be ashamed of us. (Luke 9:26) If we seek to save our life we will lose it. (Luke 17:33)

Some questions. Which Jesus do you believe in? Is He just a man or is He God? Is He the Alpha and the Omega? Is He the Almighty? Is He the author and the finisher of your faith? Where you spend eternity depends on your answers.
