In Philippians 2:12, Paul told us to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Every true child of God wants his labor to bear fruit to the glory of God. We all like to see results, see gain from what we do. A person who has a reverent awe of God's word desires to be a doer, not just a hearer  of God's word. The ones who read the word and find they are not living up to what they read, will repent and become doers of truth. If they do, God will cleanse them and strengthen them to live right.

We live in a day when the Bride of Christ, the church, is being taught all manner of so-called truth. You can hear anything from the far left to the far right. The far left says everything is okay. Do what you want,  just confess you believe, nothing else is required.  The far right makes it so hard no one can live it, not even themselves! Somewhere in between is where we should live. It's our responsibility to work it out.

The way to find truth is to go to God's word, read with  a great desire to know and walk in truth. Ask God to show you the truth and help you to walk, as He desires. We are to learn not so we can argue, but rather so we can be obedient children.

Working it out has the same meaning as when working a math problem. Sometimes we subtract, put off some things, Colossians 3:8. Sometimes we are to multiply, 2 Peter 1:2. Addition is needed, 2 Peter 1:5. Also we are to divide, Acts 8:1 - 4. Whatever it takes, we should keep working it out and get the correct answer.

We are living in a generation where wrong is being called right and right is being called wrong. Things we used to know were sin are being called okay today. If we love The Lord, we must listen to Him and not what anyone else says. Remember this all started when Eve listened to someone other than God!

If we keep traveling the path of least resistance we, like water will reach the lowest level there is. I don't believe we want that! Keep on working it out so we can, one day, hear Him say well done!
